Accessibility

The Institute strives to make all the shows at the venue accessible to everyone and to make sure things keep improving. It was built in the early 1900s, so there are challenges, but the venue representatives will do their best to identify issues and come up with practical solutions. If you require the wheelchair accessible platform please reserve your space with the venue before booking your ticket, your space can only be reserved by emailing access@o2institutebirmingham.co.uk and these are offered on a first come first served basis. Age policy

It's always best to check the age restrictions for each event in advance as they vary from show to show. All shows are 14+ but if you're under 16 - we'll translate - that means if you're between 14 years and 16 years, you'll need to come with an adult (someone 18+) please. If it says 14+, 16+, 18+, 21+… be sure to check before you book and remember to carry proof of age if you need it. Parking

There's some street parking locally, so check the pay and display options on Milk Street and Coventry Street nearby if you travel by car. The Bullring car park has hundreds of spaces. Entrances are on Smallbrook Queensway and Park Street. The Mailbox car park is also close at Wharfside Street, enter B1 1RD or Royal Mail Street into sat nav and we're around 600 metres away.

Box office

Payment: Credit and Debit cards. Ticket collection: Your tickets will be available at the front of house box office, you'll need to pick up your tickets from the box office once doors have opened on the day of the show (typically 7pm, please check times for your show.) You will need a copy of the booking confirmation, ID and the debit or credit card you used to collect your tickets.

Venue rules

No cameras, video cameras or audio recording. No food, bottles, cans or alcohol to be brought onto the premises. No smoking. Security measures are in place so there will be bag checks on arrival. Only one small bag per person is permitted, and it must not be bigger than A4 size. Height: 29.7cm Width: 21cm Depth: 15cm Large bags, including rucksacks, are not allowed and there are no facilities to leave any luggage so please make alternative arrangements. If you really have to bring a bag and its preferable you don't, please make sure its small.
